
OSWEGO — Women’s Hockey returns home from a four-game road trip to play the Buffalo State Bengals which resulted in a 6-2 win to move the team to an overall record of 3-2. The Lakers were carried by Amber Thomas (2G and 3A) and Eryn Stewart (4A) offensive production that led to Oswego scoring five unanswered goals in the second and third period. The Bengals would get their second goal past Rachael Farmer as Tristin Stetson would sneak one back door towards the end of the third period. Farmer would finish with 26 saves to win her 50th career game for Oswego. The Lakers continue NEWHL play Saturday afternoon against SUNY Cortland who took a 3-2 lost to Morrisville tonight. The match up on Saturday will be Oswego’s annual United Way Food/Toy Drive that will begin at 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center. WTOP 10 will begin coverage at 2:30 p.m. for a pregame show before the slate.
