OSWEGO — Women’s Hockey extends their winning streak to three wins after the group defeated the Cortland Red Dragons Wednesday night in the Marano Campus Center. The 3-2 win featured multiple Lakers getting on the stat sheet which was led by Megan Teachout. The freshman contributed by netting Oswego’s first goal of the night and tallying an assist on Morgan Shines game winning goal in the third period. The Lakers fourth line got the tying goal late in the second period when Aislinn McAleer buried a rebound off a Kate Randazzo shot. Sara Cruise returned to the line up and tallied an assist on the McAleer goal for her first point of the season. Rachael Farmer saved 19 shots and finished with a .905 save percentage in the win. This victory moves the Lakers into second in the NEWHL standings before they head to SUNY Canton on Friday, who’s currently 0-6-1 and last in the conference. The game is set to begin at 4 p.m. in the Roos House.
