OSWEGO — The last hockey game taking place in the Marano Campus Center this semester is set to feature the Women’s hockey team, who recently beat the Canton Roos. The Lakers were victorious in Canton Friday night as their NEWHL matchup finished 2-1. Freshman Mia Conboy tallied the game winner in the second period to put the group on a four game win streak, which may stabilize them in second place in the conference. Before heading into winter break, the Lakers welcome Amherst College, a small college located in Massachusetts. The last time this NESCAC team traveled to Oswego was in 2012, however the Lakers beat the Mammoths on the road in 2018. If the Lakers obtain the win tomorrow, the team will head into break on a five game win streak that would be the first since the beginning of the 2018-19 campaign.
