CANTON, N.Y. –  The Lakers end their undefeated start with a 1-0 loss to the St. Lawrence Saints on Saturday afternoon. After a quiet first quarter St. Lawrence finally had a breakthrough 23:07 in the second when forward Anna Coyne weaved her way through the lakers defense to give the Saints a 1-0 lead. Oswego tried to fight back in the third quarter behind a 5-1 edge in shots, but St. Lawrence played great defense and dominated possesion in the 4th and the lakers could not break through. St. Lawrence dominated possession for most of the game with 19 shots on goal compared to the Lakers’ nine and dominated on penalty corners 14-2. Lakers goalie Erica Scheblein ended with a game leading 15 saves on the day.
