OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Men’s Soccer fought tough against their SUNYAC opponent Geneseo in a 2-2 tie. The Lakers started out the first half strong as they had four shots within the first ten minutes of the game.  The Lakers took the lead early in the game with Kieran Gilroy scoring a goal at the 35:57 mark of the first half. Geneseo would finish off the second half strong as they had six shots within the final 20 minutes of the first half.  Oswego had an impressive first half as they had nine total shots.

The Knights would control the tempo of the second half. Geneseo would tie the game as they scored their first goal of the game. The Lakers would answer three minutes later as HaJoon Lee scored for the Lakers to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead. The Knights weren’t finished yet though as within about six minutes of the Lakers scoring the Knights scored again tying the game at two a piece. Geneseo outshot Oswego 23-10 during the game. Freshman Goalie Andre Bourjolly had a strong game as he had six saves all coming in the first half. This marks the first time that the Lakers have tied with the Geneseo Knights since the 2018-2019 soccer season.

Oswego State faces off against another SUNYAC opponent the Plattsburgh Cardinals on Saturday, October 8th at 1 PM at the Laker Turf Stadium.
