The Oswego State men’s soccer team fell to Buffalo State by a score of 2-1 Friday. The Lakers’ record drops to 6-5-1 and the Bengals improve to 9-1-2 overall.
Oswego midfielder Connor Lunduski scored the Lakers’ lone goal in the 81st minute thanks to a pass from Jason Siracuse. That is Siracuse’s fifth assist this season and Lunduski’s fifth goal. Despite outshooting the Bengals 8-4 in the second half of the game, they were unable to tie the match in 90 minutes.
Oswego’s next game is in Fredonia on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Compass

Oswego, NY- Summer vacation is not too far away, and with the 3 month break comes large plans. For those who are looking to gain experience from an internship or simply looking for a job after graduation, the Compass is a place to start your summer plans.
The Compass is located on the first floor of the Marano Campus Center, under the Chu Atrium. The Compass is open from Monday through Friday from 10 AM until 4 PM. It provides resources for students such as resume and cover letter building. There are also student interns at the Compass who assist with everything from writing an e-mail to internship searches.
For those graduating and need preparation for the real world, the Compass can also help with that. The Compass offers mock interviews and help to learn about the process of applying for jobs outside of college.
The Compass is a great resource for students at Oswego State to utilize. There are many great opportunities such as internship searches and help to create or update a resume or cover letter. There is always someone there able to help with anything that a student may need. For any students looking to get ahead in their professional career, the Compass is step one.

SUNY Oswego student organization creates ‘Humans of Oz’

OSWEGO, N.Y.– The Association of Black Psychologists specializes in different programs around campus. One program they run is Humans of Oz.
Based off the idea of Humans of New York, Humans of Oz gathers stories from students around campus. Students can share their personal stories or obstacles they have faced to help people in the community and themselves.
Secretary of Black Psychologists Kimberly Brown said that she enjoys listening to these stories because the answers that people give have a great impact on the people who visit their page.
Brown said she interviewed SUNY Oswego Student Asha Bey and said that Bey did not even realize that what she had spoken about had impacted Brown.
