OSWEGO, N.Y. — Oswego State Baseball looks to extend their ten game win streak in a home doubleheader Saturday, April 24th at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. against Brockport. Oswego is 11-1 (7-1) and their only loss comes to Brockport in a 14-2 loss in game two of a doubleheader at Brockport on April 3rd, the Lakers took game one 7-2. Brockport enters Saturday at 13-2 (7-1) and the Golden Eagles are tied with Oswego for first place in the SUNYAC West. The two teams look to be contenders heading into the SUNYAC Championship.

Ryan Enos led the Laker offense in the doubleheader against Brockport going 3-5 with two doubles, 2 RBIs, and a run, and Enos also leads the SUNYAC in RBIs with 20. Kyle Lauria is also towards the top of the RBI category in the conference, as the former SUNYAC Player of the Week ranks third in the conference with 17 RBIs to go along with his .364 average. Paul Tammaro leads Oswego and is second in the SUNYAC with a .467 batting average, and has 11 hits in his last 19 at bats. Kieran Finnegan picked up the win on the mound in game one against the Golden Eagles going four innings and allowing two hits and a run while striking out three. Finnegan’s 1.50 ERA is good for second best in the SUNYAC, and Finnegan also has ten strikeouts through twelve innings to his name. 

Brockport comes in on a ten game winning streak of their own, with the game two win over Oswego being the first game of the win streak. Matt O’Dair leads the SUNYAC with a .548 batting average and has a hit in 13 of 14 games. O’Dair was 4-6 with a double, 4 RBIs, and a run in the doubleheader against Oswego, Daniel Delgazio was 5-8 against the Lakers with two doubles, and four runs. James Houlahan is another hitter to look out for on Brockport as he is hitting .444 with 12 RBIs and a home run, but Houlahan struggled against Oswego in his 1-8 day. 

A win streak will be broken today as the Golden Eagles and the Lakers look to move head in the standings. Oswego State Baseball takes on Brockport at home on Saturday, April 24th at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. for a conference doubleheader.
