The New York Giants are going to be in the spotlight for tomorrow’s Monday Night Football matchup. After coming off a strong divisional win against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Giants will try to continue their three game win streak against the Cincinnati Bengals. For the Bengals, this is a must win game as they look to keep pace in a competitive AFC north. Expect this game to be a high scoring one as these teams have two of the best passing offenses in all of the league.

Oswego County Republican Committee Unanimously endorses Hanna, suppports Sheriff Todd’s bid for re-election
Congressman Richard Hanna has received unanimous support from the Oswego County Republican Committee from Congressional District NY-22 on Thursday night. Hanna has served as a member of Congress since 2011, and represents the eastern half of Oswego County.
Oswego County Republican Chairman Michael C. Backus expressed his support for the Congressman. “Congressman Hanna has been an independent voice for Oswego County since he was redistricted into our area, and I am thankful that he is carrying on the legacy of John McHugh and many others who went to Washington to solve problems and fight for Oswego County,” he said.
But the spotlight wasn’t just on the Congressman. At the meeting, Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd announced he would be seeking re-election this November.
“There are few individuals in elected office the quality of Sheriff Todd. He is a fighter for Oswego County and the beliefs we hold dear,” said Backus.
Sheriff Todd has served as Oswego County sheriff since 1999.

Local Business Lookout: River’s End Bookstore
Oswego, N.Y. – Local hotspot, River’s End bookstore, is located in downtown Oswego at 19 West Bridge Street. Housing a collection of approximately 12,000 books, the store has a variety of genres and can special order books for customers, or offer online purchasing options.
All of this is an effort to provide stellar service and “to make a life time customer” according to owner Bill Reilly.
River’s End Bookstore holds Story Time on Tuesdays, collaborations with other local businesses and the campus, and book release parties. They also sell large quantity books to places like the hospital, as well as carry items like apparel, colored pencils, and greeting cards.

Limited Commuter Parking At SUNY Oswego
Students from SUNY Oswego find it difficult to park in Commuter Lot 8. When the commuter lot is full, students know the consequences and park in a non-vehicle spot, red brick pavement. Students, like Juliann Geraci and Adam Pignatti, explain their opinion on their struggles.
“You notice people would pull over those pavements and even if they know they would get the ticket, they would park there and be late to class,” Adam Pignatti said.
According to University Police, Lieutenant Barbeau. He states the statistic of tickets on the month of February issues 85 tickets given due to non-vehicle parking. He also mentioned the total number of tickets compared from last semester to now, is more of an issue from the beginning of last semester to now.
Juliann Geraci suggests that schools should come up with a better method of developing the spaces in the commuter lot to prevent the issues.
