The New York Giants are going to be in the spotlight for tomorrow’s Monday Night Football matchup. After coming off a strong divisional win against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Giants will try to continue their three game win streak against the Cincinnati Bengals. For the Bengals, this is a must win game as they look to keep pace in a competitive AFC north. Expect this game to be a high scoring one as these teams have two of the best passing offenses in all of the league.

SUNY Oswego’s Campus Technology Services hosts Cyber Awareness Month

OSWEGO, N.Y.– SUNY Oswego’s Campus Technology Services hosts Cyber Awareness Month in the month of October. This Month is dedicated to the security of mobile devices and computers for students and staff on campus. Events have been held for various forms of cyber security and are open to anybody.
The Campus Technology Support urges everyone to be cautious of all your devices to avoid any further cyber-attacks. Some examples of suspicious cyber behavior include phishing emails or scams sent by people who are attempting to hack others on campus.
Campus Technology Services Help Desk Assistant Ian said he wanted to remind students not to open or respond to suspicious emails, and to always check the source.
“One of the ones I thought was pretty convincing was a phishing email where they took our header and all they simply did was give you a link that said please log in here to confirm your account but when you clicked the link, it wouldn’t actually bring you to any of our sites or anywhere in Oswego. It basically brought to a page that looked like a log in and asked you for your username and password,” Lenich said.

Lakers Suffer Loss Against Fredonia
The Oswego State women’s basketball team fell to Fredonia on Saturday by a score of 66-50. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 7-16 overall and 4-12 in conference play while the Blue Devils improve to 9-15 on the season.
The two teams appeared to be evenly matched as they ended the first quarter tied at 16. Fredonia’s Jenna Einick changed that as she was able to dominate against Oswego’s weak defense, scoring 16 points in the first half. She would finish with a game high 25 points. As a team, the Blue Devils shot 59.3% from the field during that span.
Oswego was able to cut the deficit to single digits at times in the second half but Fredonia had the answers. This was largely in part to their ability to score off turnovers as they outscored the Lakers 26-8. Oswego finished the game with 19 turnovers while Fredonia finished with 15.
Courtney Ameele (17) was one of three Lakers that scored in double digits along with Rachael Windhausen (11) and Erin Gantley (10).
Oswego will look to end their two game skid next weekend when they host Brockport at Max Ziel Gymnasium. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30.

Former First Lady Passes Away
Oswego, NY — The Reagan’s journey from Hollywood to the White House has come to a close.
Former First Lady, Nancy Reagan passed away Sunday morning at 94-years-old. According to her spokeswoman, Joanne Drake, Reagan died of congestive heart failure in her Los Angeles home.
Former President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan met in Hollywood and were married March 4, 1952. During her years in the White House Reagan was the anti-drug campaign’s “Just say no” spokeswoman. Reagan was a fierce protector of her husband both during his presidency and after. During the attempted assassination of President Reagan, Nancy Reagan never left her husband’s side and took care of him during his battle with Alzheimer’s.
Former first lady, Nancy Reagan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and had a mastectomy. When asked in 2001 by CNN’s Larry King if she thought that fate had treated her badly, she said “No, no. When you balance it all out, I’ve had a pretty fabulous life.”
Reagan will be buried next to her husband at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. According to a statement, in lieu of flowers, the former first lady requested for contributions to be made to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Foundation.
