The Oswego State men’s basketball team suffered a 69-67 loss against Brockport Friday night. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 12-12 on the season and 9-8 in the conference while the Golden Eagles move to 18-6.

Oswego struggled on offense in the first half, shooting just 1-of-9 from three point range and 25% from the field. Those struggles along with Brockport shooting 56% from beyond the arc led to the Golden Eagles taking an eleven point lead into halftime. The Lakers would find themselves within a single possession in the second half but were unable to capitalize.

Jamir Ferebee led the Lakers’ comeback effort with 22 points including 15 in the second half. Tyler Pierre contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds to earn a double double.

Oswego will close out the regular season on Saturday against Geneseo at 3:00 pm. As part of Senior Day, the team will honor Ferebee, Ivey, Schupp and Louis Avellino.
