Russell Westbrook dropped 27 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and dished out 14 assists to help Oklahoma City (11-8) snap New York’s (8-9) six-game winning streak at home. The former UCLA guard is now averaging a triple-double this season with averages of 30.9 PPG, 11.3 APG, and 10.3 RPG.
The only player to average a triple-double for an entire season is Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson, who did it for the Cincinnati Royals in the 1961-62 season.
Enes Kanter (27 points and 10 rebounds) and Steven Adams (14 points and 10 boards) both had double-doubles for the Thunder.
Derrick Rose had a game-high 30 points for New York on 10-20 shooting from the field. That was the former MVP’s first 30+ point game as a member of the Knicks. Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony added 21 and 18 points, respectively.
The Knicks will head to Minnesota on Wednesday to take on the Timberwolves at 8 P.M.

Taco Bell Grand Opening
OSWEGO, NY— The time has finally come. Oswego’s own Taco Bell has finally opened and with promotions to celebrate.
On Wednesday morning, locals attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the fast-food chains new location. The new addition to Oswego’s dining options has taken about 6 months to construct, and after numerous delays caused by weather conditions a gas pipe running through the property has finally opened on October 30. The marketing director, Jessica Woodburn has been waiting for this moment.
“So I think that everyone here in Oswego has known that this has been a long time coming we’ve been working diligently to find a location and due to situations out of our control,” said Woodburn. “We had a couple of locations fall through but then we were able to get this fantastic location on George Street. We’re excited we’re finally open people have been very patient and we think that today is just going to be a phenomenal opening day.”
A familiar face was seen at the grand opening, Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow.
“Well it’s great to finally have Taco Bell in Oswego. We had a many years ago and it left Oswego, but now it’s back and it’s finally here and we’re so excited. There’s a huge demand here in the city. Between people in the SUNY community and people who just overall love Taco Bell and are tired of driving to Fulton or North Syracuse to get it. I think they’ll do really well and we’re happy to have them,” said Barlow.

“Chicken Quesadilla with a Mountain Dew,” said Woodburn.
As for Mayor Barlow, “I like the box of tacos, the cinnamon twists, and then the Baja Blast which I think you can only get at Taco Bell.”

United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Chicken BBQ
Oswego, NY – On Saturday, October 6th United Way of Greater Oswego hosted their second annual chicken BBQ at Woodchuck’s Saloon. From 12-4pm, meal tickets could have been purchased for ten dollars. Meals include chicken, Woodchuck-styled baked beans, salted potatoes, and a roll.
Patrick Dewine, executive director of United Way of Greater Oswego, explains the purpose of last weekend’s event.
“An event that we ran in order to help raise funds for our annual campaign and it also brings awareness about our campaign, which is under full swing right now,” Dewine said.
Dewine explains, that the campaign focuses on trying to motivate the community to give money or volunteer, in order to help fund many different organizations that cover issues such as hunger, addiction, and other issues within the county.
Lexie Wallace, resource development director of United Way of Greater Oswego, shares the importance of bringing awareness to the community.
“There are parts of Oswego county that are a little more rural, so not as visible as a big city like Syracuse, so sometimes that need can be a little hidden,” Wallace said. “I think the power of word of mouth is often overlooked.”

Halloween in SUNY Oswego
by Sean Ryan, WTOP10-TVThe Oswego State community prepare for exciting and safe Halloween programs on campus. Events like Scalesburry is returning; a haunted house and Halloween extravaganza. There is also a Trick or Treat program going on in several of the residence halls on campus, this provides a safe and healthy environment for local kids to trick-or-treat.\As per recent tradition Scales and Waterbury hall organize a Halloween program involving a haunted house, plenty of food, and a screening of several Halloween themed movies. What will be different this year is that Scalesburry Haunted House will take place in Lee Hall instead of Scales Hall. As for the resident halls, Waterbury will have food and Scales will be screening horror movies. The haunted house will be staffed by students and with help of several on campus entities such as Residence Hall Association (RHA) and the Oswego Theatre Department. Both will mainly help with decorating Lee Hall. This event is part of an initiate on campus to provide safe non-drinking alternatives for college students. This will take place on Friday, October 28 from 8pm to 12 pm.A safe Halloween program will take place in Funelle hall, Hart hall and other Lakeside residence halls on Sunday October 30. Local kids will be allowed to come through the buidlings and trick-or-treat. There will also be a Halloween party for children in Morano Campus Center. This is another safe alternative to roaming the cold streets at night and gives college students the chance to get better involved in the Oswego community. Trick-or-treating starts at 11 am and goes until 3 pm.Halloween looks to be an eventful time here at SUNY Oswego.
