Lakers get a W on Senior Day

OSWEGO — On Senior Day, the Oswego State Men’s Soccer team picked up a win last Saturday as they defeated the Fredonia Blue Devils by a score of (2-1). Caleb Asamoah was able to score the go-ahead goal for the Lakers off the assist from Jack Van Pelt. The (5-7-1) Lakers travel to Brockport this Friday take on the Golden Eagles at 7 p.m.
Fall Season comes to an end for Men’s Lacrosse

OSWEGO — The Oswego State Men’s Lacrosse team finished their fall season with two scrimmages against Cazenovia College and SUNY Polytechnic institute. It was the final test for them for the Fall before they transition to the spring season. The scrimmage also served as a fundraiser for the Wilmot Cancer Institute as admissions to the scrimmage were free and went towards Wilmot.
Preview of this weekends Volleyball Tournament

OSWEGO — This weekend, the Oswego State Volleyball team will participate in the Oswego State Quad as they take on St. John Fisher on Friday as well as Union and Oneonta on Saturday. The Lakers are (13-8) this season but just (2-4) in conference play putting them 5th in the SUNYAC. If they want to make the SUNYAC tournament, they will have to win these next few games.
Terra is selected as SUNYAC Defensive Player of Week

OSWEGO — The SUNYAC Conference has selected Oswego State Men’s Soccer team goalie Brian Terra as the Defensive Player of the Week. Terra finished with five saves as the Lakers snapped a 5-game losing streak to lift the Lakers to a 1-0 win over Potsdam last Saturday. This shutout would staple Terra’s second shutout of the season, with his first being against Utica College and his fourth overall. Terra and the Lakers return to the Turf at 4 p.m. on Friday as they host the Buff. St. on Oct. 12.
